Mousebirds
- Mousebirds are a small group of birds that inhabit open woodlands, shrub lands and savannas in sub-Saharan Africa. They have a distinct crest and strong legs. The feed on fruit, seeds and the occasional insect. Outside the breeding season, mousebirds gather in flocks of up to 30 individuals. During the breeding season the flock dissipates and mating pairs form. There are 6 species of mousebirds.
